The UMass Chan Medical School project included the complete renovation and fitout of 24,000 square feet of office space. The scope of work included new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including chilled beams and radiant panels, as well as new bathrooms and a kitchenette. Sterling integrated these upgrades into the hospital and university environment, demonstrating our expertise in significant renovations with a focus on maintaining operations.

A notable challenge emerged when working within the building shaft to enclose existing concrete masonry unit openings while installing new ductwork. Following strict safety protocols, Sterling ensured all personnel in the shaft operated with utmost precaution, minimizing safety risks throughout the process.
